Effective Team Communication

No team can hope to sustain productivity or grow consistently without effective communication.  Your team can learn to build mutual understanding through verbal and nonverbal interactions, and equally important, you’ll learn how to avoid destructive patterns of communication.

Workshop Objectives

Participants will:

  • Learn and demonstrate an ability to communicate flexibly, with the intention of mutual understanding.
  • Recognize the importance of personal perception and understand its impact on communication
  • Understand their role in the ‘cycle of collusion’ associated with frustrating communication
  • Identify and learn to minimize ‘the four horsemen’ of destructive communication
  • Demonstrate the ability to create mutual purpose in communication exercises
  • Identify personal and systemic obstacles to effective communication
  • Create individual communication improvement plans
  • Create team/organization communication improvement plans
